abstract painting - made by boxing 

Through on the canvas I’m examining the beautiful brutality of fight and the strength of human resilience. Each piece is created on canvas, using a boxing glove as an essential tool.

 

I’m interested in exploring how the canvas reacts to each movement, employing emotion and impulse to create abstract/symbolistic pieces of work, layer upon layer.

My love of boxing comes from being a very proud son, whose father was an amateur boxer. He boxed out of West Ham and spent most of his young adult years fighting on the canvas.
